"Our infusion centre aims to provide in-hospital level care in a comfortable out-patient setting, preventing the need for admission for these patients."

- Dr Keene, coordinator of FamCare infusion centre

Who gets seen at the infusion centre?

  • Patients who have been seen and assessed by their own FamCare GP as requiring a medically indicated infusion (for example, an iron infusion)

  • Patients can self-refer for an assessment by booking a consultation with any of our doctors to determine the need for an infusion (for example, if you think you may be iron deficient)

  • Patients requiring infusions may be referred for an infusion by a variety of GPs and specialists including gynaecologists, physicians, surgeons, psychiatrists and dieticians
